Anniversary in Tagaytay

Vouchers are booming at the moment and I am getting addicted in voucher window shopping when I came across into an interesting offer.

Cash Cash Pinoy is offering a 2D 1N accommodation into one of their log cabin rooms for 4, for only 1999 with Breakfast. I called the resort and they said it was valid, it was my first time to buy vouchers and the room is available for our Anniversary.

The pictures on the website are real. The place is beautiful; we were tagged along by my niece and little sister. I felt that I should take advantage of bringing them for a more sulit vacay. More gastos but sometimes it's more fun to be joined by more persons.

We left home at 4am. Slim does not like traffic so we had to leave early and by 6am we are on the hill to Tagaytay. We had coffee at Mcdo, Breakfast in Mushroom Burger and strolled Tagaytay since check-in time is 12noon. I bought KFC bucket meal for our lunch and snack but we have left over's so we ate it until dinner. (Tipid tips)

The kids rode horses; we visited Chapel on the Hill, Caleruega and by 10 am on our way to Nasugbu to get to the hotel. I wanted to steer away from a long line of people checking in so we headed to the hotel.

The place is awesome! Good thing we went early so the check in counter is not long. We were placed in a room too far from the restaurant and pool, they offer a car service at the resort anyway we had no choice so we took it. We tried walking to the lobby but it is too far maybe 5 minutes car ride?

The room is nice though, they had so many cabinets. I deserve a tap at the back for a job well done. Staycation is awesome!

The pool with real sand

Comfy beds

I think this is good for 10 just add mattresses

We let the kids swim and had our us time at the resto, then off to bed early.

The morning after we had a basic breakfast, we went on a little tour.

Orchardium, they hava a mini zoo

Fishing area

Rock climbing area. 60 ft

This is a good retirement place; I think they offer that too.

It was nice that we celebrated our Anniv here and Tagaytay will always be my Pinakamalayo-malapit na getaway for me.

I fell inlove with Guimaras

We went to Guimaras to celebrate our first wedding anniversary.
We have my parents with us.
Slim, my husband is from Bago City which is just 15 minutes away from the port to Guimaras. He misses home so this is also an opportunity to see his family. If you want to try an alternative way to Guimaras you may book a flight to Bacolod to Bago City then Guimaras.

An island in Guimaras. You don't have to be a photographer to capture the beauty of the place.

We stayed in Raymen Beach Resort and the accommodation is really cheap. Food for big groups is also affordable. I didn't made research going there since husband knows the place.

The beach is perfect. It's clean; I don't feel itchy after the water dries up in your skin.
It is one of my indications how clean the beach is.

One Advice I would suggest is skip Seafdec, you will waste your time there except if you really want to see turtles and fishes. I think the boatmen suggest this to tourist, less island hopping more time to rest for them. When we got there Island hopping for our group of 6 is 400.

Breaking in Bolinao

My parents bought a new car and by tradition, to test the car's engine and performance we are up for a long drive to Bolinao.

I suggested the place since my cousin always tells us how beautiful Bolinao is and I haven't seen white sand beaches so I was excited and being a no Beach fan it was something new for me.

We went to Manaog Church first to have the car blessed.

Bored at 300am

The travel time is 7 hours from Manila. It's too far for me. We passed by Alaminos so that means Hundred Islands is near.

We found a resort called Villa Carolina. It is just beside the posh Puerto del Sol. The first thing my niece said when we got there was; Wow this is life!

It is just a day trip, low season so we were all by ourselves and a storm is coming too.
We got the place really cheap, 100/head entrance plus 300 cottage rate. We didn't really use the cottages.

It doesn't look that good but I still love it

An area for beach volleyball

We ordered seafood's, Tilapia, Bangus and Pork Chop all for 1200.
I know that a few hours of swimming is not enough but we enjoyed it.

We were able to pass by the Enchanted Cave after.

And on our way home the storm made its landfall.
